Guy Larsen is an award-winning writer and multimedia director.
He is the co-creator of Up In Smoke - a supernatural thriller series starring Olivier Award nominee Mei Mac and Adam Buxton. It hit #1 in the Apple and Spotify podcast charts and was featured in The Sunday Times, The Guardian and The Observer. It was BBC Sounds’ first ever drama series acquisition, and has over one million downloads.
Up In Smoke won Gold at the Lovie Awards, and the 2025 Audio Production Award for Drama & Fiction. It was nominated for a Webby Award, multiple British Audio Awards and the Rose d’Or in Audio. It is currently in development for TV and book adaptation.
Guy is an Executive Producer of Marion alongside Sienna Miller and Cate Blanchett. The film screened at Venice and Toronto International Film Festival, before being nominated for a BAFTA for Best British Short Film.
He is also EP for Worry Time, a feature film starring Emma Paetz and Ben Aldridge that premiered at Berlin Critic’s Week.
He is currently writing an arctic supernatural thriller for the BBC.

After working with top YouTube channel Vsauce at Google, Guy founded Penny4 - a multimedia production company creating award-winning videos and podcasts for creators and brands online.
Guy works with Sony across their slate of video podcasts, including How To Fail with Elizabeth Day, The Business Men, and Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake with Mel Giedrojc. He also helped launch the visual podcast The Romesh Ranganathan Show.
He has directed award-winning music videos for the likes of Cavetown, Orla Gartland and dodie.
Guy has been a lead judge at the British Podcast Awards, and the British Book Awards.
